JULIAN AND SANDY REBORN
One of our exhibition themes is about POLARI, the "secret" gay language made famous by Julian and Sandy (Hugh Paddick and Kenneth Williams) on the 1960s radio show "Round the Horne".
Someone made the foolish suggestion that we should write a new "Julian and Sandy" sketch. We have ... and because it's intended for our next exhibition, we've called it "TATE BONA". To hear (at your own risk) click HERE

LGBT HISTORY MONTH 2010
In Nottingham we had the following for LGBT History Month 2010:
The exhibition was held in the Studio at Broadway Cinema from Tuesday Feb. 23rd to Sunday Feb.28th.
This year's novelty was that we previewed the exhibition on Tuesday February 16th in the Ballroom at the Council House. 145 people turned up, ate all the food and had. a good time while the following things happened:
Thanks go to the Sheriff of Nottingham for presenting the awards, the Deputy Lieutenant of the County for acting as Master of Ceremonies and to Debbie Law for providing some wine - once again.

TRAINING, PRESENTATIONS ETC
NRH's resources have been fundamental to 10 training sessions for the whole of the staff of Nottinghamshire Connexions; for a workshop on homophobic bullying for Nottingham schools; for an LGB Awareness session for Nottingham CVS and a workshop on Homophobia for East Midlands Open University.
NRH's "Proud to be Gay" LGB Awareness training sessions were oversubscribed and received excellent evaluations.
We will also be involved in providing training/presentations for Rushcliffe Council, Newark and Sherwood Council, Waterloo Housing and Trent University.

"Enjoyed the day." "Very well led and informative - good size and diverse group." "Kept me interested, safe discussions, good training day." "Most enjoyable, friendly tutors." "Excellent." "Enjoyable." "Trainers were excellent at what they do." "Was a very good day, managed, timed and planned well; the information given was useful and interesting and the trainers had good knowledge of all aspects and shared it well." "Really positive, supportive environment created." "You have both been fantastic." "Brilliant, would recommend to others."
